Pack of 20 40-Cell Seed Tray Inserts – Lightweight Plug Plant Propagation Strips

Our pack of 20 40-cell seed tray inserts is the ultimate cost-effective solution for high-volume seed starting, winter leeks, onions, and delicate plug plant propagation. Sized perfectly to fit flawlessly inside British Standard seed trays and gravel trays, these compact 40-cell inserts allow you to maximise every inch of your greenhouse staging.

Please Note – Lightweight Design:

These inserts are specifically designed as lightweight, single-use propagation items to allow for easy plug plant removal without damaging delicate, young root systems. (If you are looking for a heavy-duty, ultra-rigid alternative that can be washed and reused season after season, please consider our robust Bedding Packs instead!)

Why these 40-cell propagation inserts are ideal for high-volume growers:

• High Density Sowing: With 40 cells per tray, a pack of 20 gives you a massive total of 800 individual plant cells—perfect for allotment growers, cut flowers, and market gardens.

• Perfect British Standard Fit: Sized exactly to sit comfortably inside standard 344mm x 214mm x 52mm seed trays or watertight gravel trays.

• Healthy Root Drainage: Each of the 40 cells features base drainage holes to encourage optimal air pruning, prevent waterlogging, and simplify bottom watering.

• Easy Plug Removal: Pliable, flexible plastic material means you can gently press the base of each small cell to pop your plug plants out cleanly when it's time to pot on.
